This program is an OSHMO initiative to increase the effectiveness of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee at the PTJ and RP level (JKKP PTJ/RP) in managing OSH programs at the PTJ/RP level.

The objective of organizing this course is to provide JKKP PTJ/RP members with appropriate information and skills to carry out the functions of the committee. It also aims to make course participants able to become PTJ/RP internal trainers and become a reference for PTJ/RP staff based on the modules they have attended.

This course will be implemented based on the target group according to membership in the Occupational Safety and Health Committee at PTJ.

The High Risk Equipment Inspection took place from May to October 2021 involving the entire laboratory at UMP. The objective of the inspection is to inspect and evaluate the safety level of the existing equipment in the UMP laboratory.

Among the aspects involved is checking all equipment in UMP that has the potential to cause injury especially equipment that is old or does not have safety features. The equipment is advised to be upgraded with appropriate and up-to-date safety features and have appropriate engineering controls to prevent any accidents due to the negligence of its users. If it cannot be improved, the equipment is recommended to be replaced with new equipment equipped with appropriate and up-to-date safety features.

28 July 2019 - Occupational Safety & Health Management Unit, University Malaysia Pahang and Safety, Health and Environment Group, Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia organized Seminar on Technical Safety & Occupational Health 2019 from July 27 to 28, 2019. Seminar held at Grand The Kuantan IIUM Hall was attended by participants from occupational safety & health practitioners, lecturers and students.

The seminar, which was officiated by Mr. Mohamad Jais bin Suratman, Director of the Pahang State Department of Occupational Safety and Health emphasized technical and occupational safety aspects. The speakers are from lecturers from both universities as well as industry experts. The seminar also serves as a platform for all MOH practitioners to establish a network of working partners among lecturers, Competent Persons, students and other MOH practitioners

20 August 2019, The Occupational Safety & Health Management Unit (OSHMO) has successfully conducted inspections for CTAR, FTKEE, FTKMA, FTKMP & UMP Pekan Library. The purpose of the OPS COMODO is to identify & assess safety and occupational health aspects.

22 April 2019, One of the annual year for 2019 program is Boost Up OSH Program. OSHMO come up with this program to develop and create the awareness among staff about safety & health on their workplace area. Most of PTJ, Faculty & KK participate in this program including OSHMO itself. Other than that, the person who get the highest mark will get RM300 prize money and also certificate and extra point for yearly audit.

02 October 2019, OSHMO invited Dr. Yasriza Yahaya to share the knowledge and experiences on Safe Use Of Hazardous Chemical. Most of the participant from technical staff. Director OSHMO, Encik Muhammad Hairynizam Bin Muhd Taib & Deputy Director OSHMO, Encik Mohd Marzuki Bin Mohamed also join in for this sharing session.

08 August 2019, OSHMO organize a training for all the KPS staff that include JHEPA, JJIM, HR, ICON & Bursary Department. Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Fadzil Bin Mohd Idris been invited to giving a talk about Emergency Basic Management to all the staff that participate.

03 July 2019, OSHMO organized a special course on Refreshing Behavioral-based Forklift Safety Operation for laboratory forklift operators.A total of 30 laboratory staff members from various faculties attended the training. The course was held at Tun Teja Training Room in UMP Gambang Campus. Trainer is  Tuan Mamu Thalib from Big Safety Event Management

05 April 2019, OSHMO & UMP Biosafety Institution Committee organized a course on Agribiotechnology & Biosafety Training. During the training, most of the participant are from researcher, lecturer & post-grad student. Speaker or the day is Dr. Mahaletchumy Arujanan also the Director of Malaysian Biotechnology Information Centre (MABIC).
